(In honor of you, our friends of Fishhook, Jenn S.’s gift is going to World Vision Micro.)
Brian and I love the idea of helping others become self sufficient and sustaining. Micro loans give third world entrepreneurs that opportunity without just giving them a handout.
World Vision Micro is an organization that empowers men and women from third world countries to rise above poverty. Loans are given to get businesses started. These loans are to be paid back in full and then are recycled to help more people.
Recipients, each with a sound business idea but no access to credit to qualify for a traditional loan, connect one-on-one with the entrepreneur of their choice, who shares in the joy of their success.
Know you’re partnering with a leader in economic development. Micro is part of World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
