My Fishhook Christmas gift last year went to an orphanage in Taiwan called the Home of God’s Love. Matt and I had submitted an application to this Christ-centered home and were awaiting a child to adopt. On Christmas day, we received a call saying there was a baby boy who could be our son. We traveled to Taiwan in June, where we saw Chase for the first time and brought him home to begin our life as a family of three.

Fast forward to this fall … we got another call from our friend, Ted, at the Home. Ted told us that Chase’s birth mom had given birth to another baby boy and we had the first option to adopt him. It didn’t take much praying to know that we would soon become a family of four. We are deep in the middle of the process to bring home our son, Jackson, some time in early 2010.

Both of our sons connected with the Home of God’s Love because their birth mom was ministered to by the Ray of Hope. Located in south Taiwan, Ray of Hope is a Christian organization dedicated to promoting the sanctity of life, teaching sexual purity and bringing restoration to women in the midst of a crisis due to an unwanted pregnancy or previous abortion.

We are so thankful for both of these ministries and the special way they save and love babies and help birth moms find their way back to God.
